News from Nicky Henderson...
It was wet, windy and very muddy when I went to Seven Barrows on the Oxfordshire-Berkshire border to interview Old Etonian Nicky Henderson for Oxfordshire Life Magazine this week. As hundreds of thousands of pounds-worth of horse-flesh flashed by he was completely absorbed in his task. The following day, he had two winners at Ascot adding to the 1000-plus winners he already boasts. It was a privilege to see him in action and a great pleasure to watch his horses in training.

I'm off to interview composer Howard Goodall later this week. He's the man behind the theme tune to The Vicar of Dibley, Blackadder, Mr. Bean, Red Dwarf, Q.I., The Catherine Tate Show, The Borrowers... the list goes on and on. He was a chorister at New College, Oxford, and studied music at Christ Church as an undergraduate and has a hatful of choral works to his name. I'm looking forward to meeting him and finding out what makes him tick.
